Hey!
Ever since I was able to speak, I’ve loved animals. Growing up I would collect wildlife fact files and have stuffed animals all over my room and pretended to take care of them. I knew it was my passion to help sick animals. I earned my degree in Veterinary Technology and shortly after obtained my license to practice as a Veterinary Technician. Working in the field for the last 15 years, I’ve become a “jack of all trades” as it pertains to veterinary medicine, but passion and specialty is Critical Care. It brings me an unexplainable amount of fulfillment to be able to contribute to the care of animals in need. I’m determined to help my patients and their owners feel comfortable and at ease in trying times.

Ever since I was younger from the moment I was able to speak.Adults would always ask that one question. What you want to be when you grow up? My answer was always the same, helping animals. It was certain choice when I had my first pet bird. He came from an abusive home and as a little girl I never knew what that meant but I was able to build that trust with him and from then on he would be by my side everywhere I went. When he started to age and became ill i treated him the best I could. I met Berena a freshly season graduate from SUNY Canton not knowing what an emergency hospital was going to have in store for me. I am really blessed to have found someone as smart, confident and passionate in what she does. She has helped me build my skills. I am proud to be chosen to be able to work with BBSC and bring that love and attention to your pets at home.

My name is Anick, fondly known as Nicky. I am a certified veterinary technician assistant at BB’s specialty care with experience in emergency and critical care. I am a compassionate care driven technician, who strives to make sure my patients always feel loved and comfortable when they are with me. My passion for healing animals is right at home with BB’s specialty care because it is an organization that is motivated by love, attention to detail, and education. As a technician that has been personally mentored by the founder, I work with a confidence that translates to the service provided for pet’s and their owners.
